Ip Manager: Set up ip / browser rules for added security
The Basics:
Some simple things we can gather by your visit to this page may alarm you if you are not aware of what your computer can tell any website. The good news is that this can also be used to add more security to your Phoenix Account. Next to each piece of data, you will see a button that says 'Lock Data'. Clicking the 'Lock Data' button will record that data and add it to your account.
The Benefits:
The benefit is that if a hacker tries to access your account they will generally not be able to have the same data available to them to push onto the site. At login time, spend and redeem time, if the data locked below does not match what is locked on your account then the login, spend and redeem will fail. That means that hackers will not get access to your account. Furthermore you will also get a security email automatically passing the hackers ip address to you so that you can follow up on it if desired. We believe a team effort makes for better security. You can also take that ip address and add it to the deny list here and it will automatically be blocked from accessing your individual account permanently.
What if my data changes?
If your ip is not static and changes all the time then do not lock the host or ip options. If you are unsure if you have a static ip then call your isp service and ask. If you have a problem logging in after setting a lock, an email will automatically be sent to your primary email address to verify your account. Follow the instructions in the email to unlock your account.
Configure a Referring URL:
This advanced feature is available to people who have a bit of website building experience and a website to operate from. This security feature allows you to hard code your referrer link from a remote password protected webpage and/or SSL protected page. This means that to access your account you must first go to this secret page and then click a link on that page that will automatically redirect you to the Phoenix Login Page at: https://www.phoenixdollar.com/login. This means that if a hacker comes into the login page from anywhere else but your secret page, then they will not be able to login and their ip will be logged and sent to you immediately. Using a password protected webpage with an ssl certificate will give you the best results.
If you do not understand this feature, then we advise that you do not use it or ask for help from a friend as we cannot provide technical assistance for it. Please use this feature carefully. If your server goes offline we will ask you to fix it before we will remove the block. Getting a referrer URL removed is possible, but only as a last resort. We also ask you to test the webpage thoroughly before locking the data in so you do not accidentally lock yourself out of the account.
IP Block List:
Use this feature to block any ip from accessing and using your account. (Use this if you receive an email with a fraudulent access warning, or maintain your own ip fraud list. Be careful not to add your own ip in this list.)
Notification Settings:
This feature allows you to control how and when you are notified by the system for such things as spends, logins and account modifications. You can control each type by turning it on or off and set where each type will notify you. You can use email, encrypted email with pgp key, ICQ, AOL Instant Messenger, or MSN Messenger.
Why use this feature?
This feature helps you keep your account more secure because you will know when someone logs into it, makes a spend to or from your account and changes any site security settings.

Superuser Password Manager:
Use this page to create or change your superuser password and to set when the site asks you to confirm a superuser password. This will give you a secondary password you can enable on spends and payments.
A superuser password can be set for the following:
- All Spends
- Spends Over Amount: $
- Logins
- Redeems
- SafeLock
- Add Funds
- Saving Master Account Settings
- Saving and Editing Templates
Security Q and A:
This feature is used in certain situations such as a lost account password, lost superuser password, or the ip system has locked you out of your account. Filling in these questions and answers will assist you to regain control of your account much faster than if you do not fill them out. The results are stored encrypted and not in plain text on our servers. Read our lost access policy to get more information.
Please make sure you use questions that you know you will able to answer no matter what, but that are not so common as to be generally available to the public. A good example is: "What is the middle name of my daughter?". A bad example would be: "What year did the Yankees first win the world series?".
Account Beneficiary:
This feature is something most people would prefer not to think about. "What happens to my account and silver if " should die?" If the worst should happen, we feel that your account should not go into limbo and be repossessed by our company, but be distributed to your family and loved ones who will benefit the most from it. Here, you can name the account beneficiaries and this will cover this specific account should you pass away. The primary beneficiary will need to contact us, provide identity documentation and verify the account holders status as deceased via legal documentation. You may designate more than one beneficiary and the percentages they will each receive. The Phoenix Dollar would then redeem your funds and issue silver bullion or exchange your funds into US Dollars and issue checks to the beneficiaries and then close the account. We will act in your best interests and use our best judgment about how to payout your account to your beneficiaries depending on the prevailing market conditions, country your beneficiaries reside in and the type of account you hold.
